What is the concept for your character?: A veteran on the wrong side of the war struggling to live in the new world
Detailed Personality: A charming personality. Not as loud as his twin was, George is still very much a prankster even now (though he has learnt to resist the urge when required). He is fairly even when it comes to distributing good humour and jokes, even mocking himself if the situation presents itself. He is also fiercely brave and protective of his friends and family.
The war affected him greatly and he struggles with depression and PTSD, especially regarding the death of his twin, Harry Potter and his time in Azkaban.
Quirks or strange habits: Apparating when he doesn't really need to
Detailed Appearance: George has the typical Weasley flame-red hair and freckles. He is somewhat stockily built and tends to wear the best robes he can afford. He is missing his left ear which was cursed off.
Where in London do they live?: Backroom of his shop, at the corner of Diagon and Knockturn alleys
How do they usually travel?: Apparition
Short term goals (1-5 years): Keep the shop going and show those in charge he won't be beat
Long term goals (5+ years): Hopefully see Voldemort overthrown
What is your character doing now to work toward their goals? Focusing on business, keeping his head down and out of serious trouble (minor infractions are part of his way of life)
What is something your character wants but does not have? His family back together
What is your character’s greatest fear? Hearing news of the death of another family member
Do you have any Character Ties Established?: N/A
(please be thorough but concise; aim for 300-1000 words & Remember to include Family History):
Twin brother of Fred Weasley, a pureblood but relatively poor family. He had five brothers and eventually a sister though it was his twin he was always closest to, you couldn't find a closer pair anywhere to the point where they became hard to distinguish by personality as well as looks - especially if they didn't want to be.
All three of his older brothers were the prefect sort but the twins settled on their own path. Their time at Hogwarts was legendary!
The two became unrivaled beaters for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and despite participating in the houses worse loss in 300 years proved a great player in most of his matches. They never took school seriously; focusing more on learning the castles secret passages than class, turning events such as a friend being accused of attacking other students into a joke and only passing three of their OWLs despite being talented and smart enough to have passed far more.
In their sixth year the twins started experimenting with coming up with new joke items which they intended to turn into a business and were fortunate enough to be given enough start up gold by a close friend to make that a reality.
Their seventh year was focused more and learning their customer base than bothering with classes or exams and after a fantastic clash with the temporary headmistress the two left Hogwarts early.
To the surprise of many the joke shop became a success and their brave recklessness shone brighter (even mocking Voldemort).
Behind the scenes they were involved with the Order of the Phoenix in its attempts to oppose Voldemort's rise to power. It was in this role that he lost an ear during a battle against Severus Snape high upon brooms. He didn't let that stop him however, immediately making a joke about it.
When Voldemort first took power George secretly joined an underground radio broadcast helping those trying to avoid the Dark Lord's interest while spreading the truth about what was going on that the now corrupt Ministry was hiding.
Then came the Battle of Hogwarts.
Like the majority of his family George fought in the battle, the results of which were devastating. He lost two brothers, including his twin, and along with his parents found himself arrested and sent to Azkaban.
He would still be there if not for his parents. The two did all they could to take responsibility for the vast majority of his crimes and the end result was that while they were imprisoned for life, George was released after more than a decade. Sadly that was not soon enough however as news of his sisters death came while he was still inside.
Since getting out he has distanced himself from others who opposed Voldemort besides his wife, keeping his head down and focusing on the struggling business.
